Exercise
Now that spring has come to Montreal I am more actively thinking about exercise to help me in dealing with my Social Anxiety. Exercise is good for those struggling with mental health issues because it puts your grey matter in a better space so it can be easier to tackle whatever problems you struggle with. Give it a go. Find an exercise you like and try it out. If possible, find an other or others to do it with, it can make it easier to do it and can have the added benefit of social interaction. Here are a few sites with info on the subject of mental health and exercise. One at Canoe.ca, another at About.com. Give it a try. I have found that increasing your brains endorphins which exercise does also helps you in controling your thoughts which is a great bonus if you are struggling with negative thoughts or thought control. More on this in my next post.
